Anatomical and clinical scholarship.
We support anatomically and clinically-based scholarship — from cadaveric dissection to imaging, education science, and anatomic variation.
Explore the journalThe American Association of Clinical Anatomists advances research, teaching, and scholarship at the intersection of anatomical science and clinical practice — a society founded to give the discipline its own scholarly home.
Clinical anatomy is anatomy in all its aspects — gross, histologic, developmental, and neurologic — as applied to clinical practice. It is the application of anatomic principles to the solution of clinical problems, and the application of clinical observations to expand anatomic knowledge.
Our members include anatomists, surgeons, radiologists, educators, and researchers who share a commitment to rigor, collegiality, and the mentorship of the next generation of scholars.
